War on terror or war on democracy? The physical intimidation of legislatures

Powell anthrax

This is the text of a talk given by Graeme MacQueen at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, on Nov. 18, 2015. The text was edited by MacQueen for publication in Truth and Shadows. In addition to being a retired professor of Religious Studies and founder of McMaster’s Peace Studies program, MacQueen is the author of The 2001 Anthrax Deception: The Case For a Domestic Conspiracy.

Good evening. I have two sets of introductory comments.

First, my aim tonight is not to prove each of my assertions with a wealth of evidence but to survey four cases briefly in order to reveal a pattern. If you feel I may be on to something it will be up to you to look at these cases in more detail.

Secondly, as a Canadian addressing other Canadians, I want to note that I am aware of the taboos this talk is violating. I will be making claims, and pointing out patterns, that are unwelcome in mainstream society today in Canada. The taboos are held in place with heavy silence and with ridicule, and they are, in my opinion, crucial to the maintenance of the War on Terror.

The taboos are strong in the media, the universities, and in all sectors of government. Since my theme today has to do with legislatures, and since we have just experienced a federal (more…)

Canada’s false flag terror: fingerprints of U.S. involvement

By Barrie Zwicker (Special to Truth and Shadows)

THE “TERRORIST” EVENTS of Wednesday October 22nd in Ottawa and two days earlier in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu bear all the hallmarks of a coordinated cross-border one-two punch false flag operation.

The first, the left jab hit-and-run killing of a Canadian soldier, would be the psychological softening up for the follow-up right cross, the killing of another Canadian soldier in Ottawa. Together they dazed the public to an extent that even the ostentatiously-iconic murder at the National War Memorial alone might not have achieved.

The context was within the intensification of the so-called “global war on terror” and in concert with the pro-military Stephen Harper government’s deployment of (more…)

9/11 film reaches beyond the choir: 50 questions that blow ‘debunkers’ away

September 11 - The New Pearl Harbor

By Craig McKee

The questions have been debated since the very beginnings of the 9/11 Truth movement.

How do we get people who believe the official story of 9/11 to consider the possibility that what they’ve been told is false? How do we go beyond preaching to the choir? And at what point is it necessary, or desirable, to simplify and/or soften some of the truth to avoid scaring people off?

The question is being asked again (well, at least by me) following the recent release of Massimo Mazzucco’s impressive five-hour, three-part documentary September 11: The New Pearl Harbor. The film brings together evidence from dozens of sources (particularly documentaries and TV programs) on 9/11. It ties this evidence together very nicely and makes it clear and easily understandable, particularly for those who are (more…)

The science of mind control and loving our own slavery: Richard Grove on State of Mind

Richard Grove in State of Mind

Richard Grove: powerful elites seek to control us us by extinguishing free thought.

By Craig McKee

It’s one thing to be controlled through force. Force is visible and its implications are evident: go against those in power and you could be ostracized, imprisoned, or killed.

But according to filmmaker and forensic historian Richard Grove, a co-writer of the recently released documentary State of Mind: The Psychology of Control, there is a more insidious form of control at work in our society, one that powerful elites have employed throughout history without most of us even realizing it. The target of this form of control is our minds. And what is under siege is our ability and willingness to think critically, to challenge what we (more…)

Lone-nut scenario implanted in Colorado shooting, Holmes convicted by media

In his initial court appearance, Holmes appeared to have no idea what was happening.

By Craig McKee

The official story is set within hours – sometimes even minutes.

We saw it with the Kennedy assassination(s), the Oklahoma City Bombing, 9/11, and many other proven conspiracies. Now we’re seeing it with the Colorado “Dark Knight” shooting that took place in an Aurora movie theatre on July 20.

Once the official narrative is set, it will rarely change substantially. New details will emerge but the initial story that we’ve been fed is locked in.

The official story of the shootings (in which 12 died and 58 were injured) is that 24-year-old neuroscience student James Holmes was mentally disturbed and acted alone. This is echoed in the media with few exceptions. Any information contradicting the official spin was, and continues to be, buried. Essential questions are not asked.

In the Colorado shooting, the media have focused on whether it was too easy for the suspect to get the weapons he allegedly used. They have questioned whether his psychiatrist told authorities of her concerns about Holmes’s mental state and whether she notified police. They have questioned whether the University of Colorado should have seen the potential for Holmes to commit a violent act and taken preventative action.

Despite early reports that the shooter may have had at least one accomplice, the media have stuck to the script, (more…)

Hollywood 9/11 feature to favour human drama and ‘safe’ evidence

By Craig McKee

Can you make an “uplifting” Hollywood movie about 9/11? Should you try?

If your goal is to encourage people to question the official story, should you focus on the human cost of this horrific event with an eye to making the film a successful piece of dramatic entertainment? What evidence should be examined and what should be left out to avoid controversy within the Truth movement and condemnation from the media?

These questions haven’t been simple ones for first-time screenwriter Howard Cohen, who has written the script for A Violation of Trust (original title: Confession of a 9/11 Conspirator). The setting is the first day of a fictitious new (more…)

Journalists would be thrilled to break 9/11 ‘inside job’ story, if there was one: Kay

Jonathan Kay would suggest that this man is delusional and has too much time on his hands.

By Craig McKee

Jonathan Kay lives in a truly wonderful world.

In this world, journalists are just dying to break any story that would show that 9/11 is an inside job. And any who did would surely be rewarded with wealth, fame, and maybe a Pulitzer Prize.

Too bad for them there isn’t a shred of evidence for this ridiculous “conspiracy theory.” If there were, we’d have hundreds of ambitious scribes fighting and scratching to find out who could get that April Gallop interview first. Somebody heard bombs going off in the towers before the planes hit? 60 Minutes would have been there. A big plane got sucked into an impossibly tiny (more…)

Pure fiction: Bigelow’s new bin Laden chase film will reinforce 9/11 myths

Kathryn Bigelow plans new film on the chase for bin Laden.

By Craig McKee

I can see it now: Robert De Niro as Osama bin Laden, George Clooney, Matt Damon, and Brad Pitt as the handsome and fearless Navy SEALS, and Morgan Freeman as the “president.” Or Denzel Washington…

Okay, I might have the casting wrong, but the upcoming film Kill bin Laden by Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker) is certain to be fascinating – and fictional. It will take its place alongside United 93 and World Trade Center – a sort of (more…)

Richard Gage joins perplexing gang-up on Citizen Investigation Team

By Craig McKee

Mr. Gage, you’ve lost me.

In the past week, highly respected 9/11 researcher Richard Gage – founder of Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, released a statement (http://911truthnews.com/richard-gage-completely-withdraws-support-from-cit/) withdrawing his support for Citizen Investigation Team, which champions the idea that an airliner flew over, not into, the Pentagon on 9/11.

Gage doesn’t like the investigative methods of CIT’s Craig Ranke and Aldo Marquis. He says that even though he initially supported CIT’s film National Security Alert, he has come to rethink its approach and its conclusions. Now, he seems to prefer the Bush administration version of the Pentagon story – that is to say the official story.

Unfortunately, Gage has jumped in with a group of people who frequently post at the now very exclusive 911Blogger.com, a site that has little tolerance for people who (more…)

London 7/7 bombings follow ‘successful’ Kennedy, 9/11 playbooks

By Craig McKee

When something works, why change?

The price of not scrutinizing the evidence in horrifying acts of destruction, terrorism, and murder is that they just keep happening. If the perpetrators get away with it once, there’s no reason they wouldn’t keep going to the same formula that has worked in the past.

With the help of the mainstream media, we keep believing the lies we’re fed. And we keep paying a terrible price.

John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963 by his own government, and we believed the flimsy scenario that a lone nut named Lee Harvey Oswald did it. Although the evidence overwhelmingly shows that Oswald was a patsy who was set up to take the fall, our newspapers and television programs still refer to him as the man who shot JFK. No trial, no proof. No matter.

We know that Franklin D. Roosevelt provoked and allowed the attack on Pearl Harbor to take place to create public support for getting into World War II. The wishes of the people were not to be listened to, they were to be manufactured. While America was officially outraged at the brutal invasions of the Nazis, American corporations were enthusiastically doing business with them, helping to keep the war machine humming.

JFK wanted to pull soldiers out of Vietnam. He also wanted the U.S. government to start printing its own money for the first time since the private Federal Reserve came into existence in 1913. Both bad news for the power elite that is used to (more…)
